Babak "Bob" Semnar

Babak "Bob" Semnar has dedicated a major part of his firm to protecting individuals from abusive and harassing debt collectors. He is passionate about the rights of individuals, as provided within the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act), TCPA (Telephone Consumer Protection Act), as well as the FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act). After opening his own office in Riverside County (Temecula), Mr. Semnar moved to Vista, California where he co-founded Semnar & Hartman, LLP, a consumer rights firm, focusing Deb Collection Abuse, Credit Reporting Rights, and harassing calls on cell phones. Semnar & Hartman, LLP serve individuals within San Diego County (Vista, San Marcos, Escondido, Escondido) as well as those in Riverside County (Temecula, Murrieta, Hemet, and Lake Elsinore). Semnar & Hartman, LLP has recently expanded its services to Orange County and Los Angeles County, as well as Northern California.

Mr. Semnar graduated from Loyola Marymount University in 1998. Thereafter, he attended Whittier Law School's night program while working full-time at Bollington, Roberts, Hunkins & McDonald, an insurance defense law firm. Upon graduating in 2002, Mr. Semnar worked for the personal injury law firm, Madison and Margolese, located in Santa Monica. Soon thereafter, he joined the law firm of Clinton and Clinton, where he assisted in defending various civil lawsuits involving partnership disputes, personal injuries, toxic torts, and excessive use of force by law enforcement.

In 2005, Mr. Semnar moved to San Diego County where he worked as an Associate at the Law Offices of Robert W. Jackson. There, he prosecuted personal injury claims and business litigation disputes. Meanwhile, Mr. Semnar attended Gerry Spence's Trial Lawyers College in Dubois, Wyoming. There, he spent three weeks refining his trial skills, enhancing his litigation techniques and ultimately strengthening his ability to persuasively present each client's story to a jury.

Upon graduating from the Trial Lawyers College, Mr. Semnar started his own law firm in San Diego where he focused on business litigation, civil disputes and criminal defense. In addition, Mr. Semnar taught trial skills to the advanced trial advocacy teams at California Western School of Law located in San Diego. Subsequently, Mr. Semnar attended the graduate program at Gerry Spence's Trial Lawyers College, to further refine his trial skills.

In 2008, Mr. Semnar joined the Riverside County Public Defender's Office whereby he represented over 2000 clients. While at the Public Defender’s Office Mr. Semnar handled thousands of criminal defense cases.

In 2011, Mr. Semnar founded the Semnar Law Firm located in Beverly Hills and Temecula, California. Thereafter, Mr. Semnar began to focus his firm on representing individual who are harassed by debt collectors. He soon spent most of his time seeking money damages on behalf of individuals who were entitled to damages under the FDCPA, Rosenthal Act, TCPA, and FCRA. Since starting Semnar Law Firm, and taking Consumer Rights / Debt Harassment cases, Mr. Semnar has provided each potential client with a free confidential consultation.

Mr. Semnar is currently a membership of the Trial Lawyers College, the American Bar Association, and the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego. He is also admitted to practice law in the Northern District Federal Court (Oakland), Eastern District Federal Court (Riverside), and Southern District Federal Court (San Diego).

Mr. Semnar has tried over 30 trials and conducted approximately 100 preliminary hearings, where he obtained successful outcomes in almost all of his cases. Mr. Semnar has accomplished such success because he is dedicated to aggressively investigating all facts, researching all legal issues, forming a comprehensive plan of action in each case and zealously representing each of his clients.
